Required Reading

I just recently read an article about Yahoo's Green Challenge. In the article it talks about how Yahoo is launching a web-site for individuals to create less carbon-dioxide gases. Also in the article the company is having a contest to find the greenest city and the winning city will receive 10 hybrid cars donated to them for their efforts. Their mission is to try to stop global warming and I feel this is a great step in the right direction. Does anyone else have any thoughts of what Yahoo is trying to achieve?

Although the publicity could make an impact, don't you think the worst city in the country should get the hybrids? It seems therewards system is promotionaly based - a strange position for such a proactive cause.
